Orange Bread
from the kitchen of Phyllis Harold

Rind of 3 oranges (medium to large) cut in thin slices
Cook in salted water in a covered saucepan 20 minutes or until tender 

Drain and add:
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1/2 cup water
Boil 2-4 minutes, stirring constantly then cool.

Add and mix until moistened:
1 egg, beaten
3 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder

Spray Pam on 2 small bread pans or 1 large pan. Pour in batter. Bake 1 hour @ 340-350 degrees. 

Brush top with butter after removing from pan. Serve sliced thin.
