January 1, 2006
We had a wonderful December. Although I am busy with our play practices, we did find time to travel to Vegas from the 19th to the 23rd to celebrate our 21st anniversary. We had complimentary rooms at Paris (it pays to use those connection cards when playing in casinos) and enjoyed our lovely rooms there. Right away, Ron and I were playing at a dollar slot machine (which we hardly ever do) because it was closest to the entrance and we felt we could use a drink after the long drive. We each played one dollar and I got a little trickle of money then on Ron's second pull he won $900.00. Too bad that he hadn't put the maximum amount ($2.00) in the machine; he would have won over $1,800.00. While there we kept winning enough that Ron came home with most of his winnings and I did well too. He did get something he hadn't bargained for---a bad cold. That put a little damper on our quiet Christmas but he is getting better. We wish all of you a wonderful New Year. If you are not on the road, we hope you will get out there soon. It is a wonderful life. Last month's question was: As a full-timer, what is (or will be) your primary concern when choosing a campground? To see the complete results please go to the poll page. The new question is: As
a full-timer how do (will) you spend the Christmas holiday?
